A New Kind of Rabbi

When Jesus called his disciples, he was following the pattern of a Jewish Rabbi. When he actually started teaching them, however, it quickly became obvious that he was not a typical rabbi. The biggest difference was that he didn't teach his disciples to be careful about the law. Why did Jesus have such a different approach? And why did the disciples go along with it?
